Pheronia Stillroom Dog Calming Pheromone Diffuser

Helps Reduce Barking, Chewing & Accidents When You Leave

$49

About $1.63 a night for 30 nights.

  • For barking at the door, chewing when alone, and accidents that only happen when you leave.
  • One socket, thirty nights, working on its own. Nothing to feed him, nothing to swallow.
  • Dog pheromones only. A cat in the same house does not read this signal.

What Stillroom does

It fills the room with a copy of the scent signal his mother gave her litter in the first days of life. It is the earliest thing a dog learns to read as: you are safe, nothing is coming. Dogs keep responding to it for life.

Where it earns its place

Staying alone, fireworks, thunderstorms, visitors, the doorbell, indoor accidents that started again, a rescue settling in, and crate training that is not going well.

Using it

Twist the vial into the base. Plug it in upright in the room he waits in while you are out. Leave it running while you are home too, so the room is already settled before you leave. Give it a full month.

Where it will not help, honestly

A dog who has never been house-trained needs training, not a scent. A dog who suddenly cannot hold it needs a vet. Severe separation distress belongs with your vet and a behaviourist.

Why it works

Three things nobody else tells you.

The blame

It is a signal, not a character flaw.

Nothing here is about discipline. The behaviour is information, and information can be answered.

The mechanism

A copy of the calm signal.

Synthetic pheromone analogues have been used in veterinary practice for over twenty years. They are a signal, not a sedative.

The honest clock

Judge it at thirty nights.

Most people quit on day four because they expected day one. The change usually shows in the second half of the month.

Three steps

Plug it in. Leave it. Decide at thirty.

01

Choose the room

The room he waits in, not the hallway. One socket covers that room.

1 minute

02

Leave it running

Day and night, including while you are home.

30 days

03

Decide at day thirty

Not on day four. If nothing has changed, we refund the whole order.

Day 30

In the box

What is actually in the box.

1

The base

Plugs into any US socket. Keep it, refill it.

2

The vial

Thirty days of signal for one room. The 60-day kit includes a second vial.

3

Honest limits

Where this will not help.

We would rather lose the sale than take it under a false expectation.

A dog who has never been house-trained needs training, not a scent.
A dog who suddenly cannot hold it needs a vet. That is often a bladder or a kidney, not a mood.
Severe separation distress, with drooling, self-injury or escape attempts, belongs with your vet and a behaviourist.
A spot never cleaned is still an invitation. Clean it first.

Which shape

Each one loses a line on purpose.

That is how you know the rest is true.

You have tried the rest

What the alternatives actually cost.

A behaviour consult at the vet

An appointment, a car ride, an anxious dog, a bill

Calming chews every day

A daily fight, and a dog who learns to distrust the bowl

Leaving the TV on

Noise over the silence. The reason stays

Living with it

A crate you dread, a door you close, a neighbour who writes

One socket. Thirty nights. Nothing swallowed.

The evidence

What the research actually found.

The dog evidence is thinner than the cat evidence.
These are independent studies of dog appeasing pheromone as a category. They were not run on our product, and we do not claim their results as ours. The honest summary: one good study found a clear effect on firework fear, and two careful reviews found the wider evidence weak.
  • Effect found

Dogs frightened of fireworks showed a significant improvement across several fear behaviours on dog appeasing pheromone.

Owner-reported scoring, and a small group by modern standards.

Sheppard and Mills, Veterinary Record, 2003

  • Weak evidence

Across eight controlled studies, the evidence for dog appeasing pheromone in adult dogs was judged weak, with little carry-over once it stopped.

Only four of the eight were randomised. The authors call it harmless and possibly useful, not proven.

Wong and Govendir, Veterinary Evidence, 2021

  • No effect

Dogs in long-term kennelling showed no significant change in stress behaviour on dog appeasing pheromone.

A kennel is a hard case. It tells you where the ceiling is.

Grigg and Piehler, Veterinary Record Open, 2015

We would rather you know that before you buy than after. Thirty days to decide either way.

Every link below goes to the published paper, not to a summary we wrote.

Before you buy

Six questions we get every week.

How long until I see a change?

Most of it happens in the second half of the first month. Watch how he settles when you pick up the keys before you count incidents.

Is it safe around children and cats?

Nothing is swallowed and nothing is sedated. The version for dogs carries no message a cat or a person can read. Keep the vial out of reach.

When does it arrive?

Ships from our US warehouse and arrives in 2–5 business days.

What if it does not help?

Write to hello@pheroniapets.com within 30 nights and we refund the whole order. You keep the device. One claim per household.

Does it help with fireworks and thunder?

Start it days before, not an hour before. For the night itself the collar is the better tool, because it goes where he goes.

Can I use it with a cat in the house?

Yes. Use the dog version for him and the cat version for her, and give each of them a room.

All questions

Goes with it

It stays in the room. For the car, the kennel and the clinic, that is the collar.
