How to use it, properly
- Spray onto the surface, never onto the animal and never towards the face.
- Eight to ten pumps for a carrier or a car seat, from about 20 cm away.
- Wait fifteen minutes before letting them in. This is the step everyone skips and it is the step that matters. The surface should be dry.
- For a spot that has been marked before, clean it with an enzyme cleaner first and let it dry. Scent on top of old urine does nothing.
- Repeat every four to five hours on long journeys.

In 1,060 cat and owner pairs, unwanted scratching fell over 28 days for 83.5 percent on the pheromone against 68.5 percent on placebo.
Funded by the manufacturer Ceva, and three of the authors worked there. Strong design, interested sponsor.
